How it plays

Draw. Stay. Don't go over nine.

Push-your-luck with real friends and real grudges. Rounds run about 2 minutes, and that's exactly enough time for chaos.

1 A single coin card face up on the table

Start with one visible card each. Everyone sees where everyone stands. For now.

2 Several coin cards of different values laid out together

Stay or draw: count your coins. Push closer to nine, or lock in what you've got.

3 A chaos card that changes a player's coin total

Chaos cards: boost yourself or sabotage friends. Nothing personal. Except it is.

4 The Okapi mascot with a shocked expression

Go over 9? You're out. Easy? Not quite. Your friends will sabotage your every move.

Meet the farm

A farm full of weird habits

Every animal in Okapi Nine has one flaw they'd rather you didn't notice. You'll notice.

The rooster obsessing over anti-aging cream in the bathroom mirror

The rooster

Hasn't slept in years. Blames it on the skincare routine.

The cow secretly eating biscuits and milk raided from the fridge

The cow

Sworn off dairy in public. Raids the fridge at 2am.

The hens exhausted after an overambitious fitness routine

The hens

Fitness obsessed. Regret every single class.

The sheep knitting an unfortunate wool hat under a tree

The sheep

Knits her own hats. They are, without exception, hideous.

The cat, dog and rat who hate each other by day and watch horror movies together at night

The cat, the dog, the rat

Can't stand each other by day. Inseparable at movie night.

The mice running an underground card and cheese gambling den

The mice

Run an underground gambling den. The stakes are cheese.

We all hide our flaws. They're what make us unique.
We're all a little okapi.

The lost Okapi, backpack half open, confused about where he ended up

The story

He just wanted to explore the world

Instead, he got lost in the worst possible place: a chaotic farm where nothing goes as planned. No money. No map. No idea what's going on. The only way out? Collect enough coins and survive the madness around him.

Who's making it

Okapi Games, Florence

By day we design houses. This game is our exception: the one thing we made just because it made us laugh. Every illustration in Okapi Nine is hand-drawn, panel by panel. No AI, anywhere in the process.

Every illustration hand-drawn. No AI.

A fast, chaotic card game. A free keychain for the first 100. A launch that's almost here.

2 to 6 players, 5 languages, 64 hand-drawn cards, and friends who will absolutely ruin your run. Follow the project or save your spot, ideally both.
